Executive Summary
Currently supplier of TOTAL branded high technology engine, hydraulic, transmission and Industrial oils, Greases and specialties under an agreement with TOTAL LIBAN entered in 2002.

Sources of Supply: TOTAL plants in France and Dubai.

Supplier of “Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel Oil (Green Diesel Oil)” and “Unleaded Benzene”; both imported by “TOTAL LIBAN” from France meeting most advanced International specifications.
History LANSOIL markets and sells a wide range of high technology engine, hydraulic, transmission and industrial oils, greases and specialties (like Brake Fluid, Antifreeze and Cutting Oils) in new sealed packages from TOTAL factories in Europe and Dubai, that provide users with the guarantee of an international brand.

LANSOIL was established in 1980 and became the exclusive agent of Beverol, a well known European lubricants brand located in Holland also well known as a top maker of greases. FINA the major oil company of Belgium acquired Beverol especially for its expertise in the manufacture of grease. And so LANSOIL became the sole agent of FINA and it remained as such until April 5, 2002. At this date, TOTAL acquired FINA and ELF the well known French manufacturer and a leader of lubricants production for the formula 1 racing cars mainly Renault. By an agreement with TOTAL LIBAN, LANSOIL became the distributor of ELF automotive lubricants imported from FRANCE and acquired the consent of TOTAL LIBAN for distribution of TOTAL industrial lubricants and specialties which is the unified brand name of the group TOTALFINAELF.

Beginning 2012, LANSOIL started distributing exclusively TOTAL automotive and industrial lubricants, greases and specialties imported from Dubai and France.

LANSOIL expanded its activities to include deliveries of petroleum products namely Green Diesel Oil.
Green Diesel Oil: Is named so as “green” to indicate friendliness to the environment. Its international definition is “Low-Sulfur” diesel oil which is used by cars, trucks, all kind of diesel engines, the industry and buildings in all advanced industrial countries such as the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia, Japan and many other countries in Asia and the Pacific.

Sulfur is the main pollutant of the atmosphere. The Diesel Oil that TOTAL imports into Lebanon exclusively for its customers (it is Ultra Low sulfur- ULSD) comes from France with quality certificates from exporting refineries. The same applies to the gasoline “benzene” it imports.
About TOTAL Limiting Environmental Impact Protecting Health: Health is a major challenge in sustainable development. Global scourges such as malaria, tuberculosis, measles, and more recently AIDS, continue to spread. Numerous countries suffer from a serious lack of infrastructure and human resources in the medical field. Against this backdrop, TOTAL is involved in campaigns aimed at improving health levels in local communities in order to strengthen the healthcare services and medical infrastructure, and plays an active role in spreading information and running programs designed to prevent infectious diseases. TOTAL has become involved in the fight against AIDS and joined two corporate associations, Sida-Entreprises and GBC (Global Business Coalition against AIDS). Improving Safety for everybody: Risks are embedded in all of the activities of the oil and gas industries. Ensuring safety is our priority. The two main components of our safety policy are occupational safety, in the workplace, and technological risk management, to prevent accidents at our facilities. The risks linked to our transport operations fall within these two categories. TOTAL has decided to make a particular effort with regard to road safety. Launching a program aimed at improving road safety comprising the following three elements: Respecting the environment and biodiversity: The decline of biodiversity, global warming, the weight of environmental factors in health problems, are all subjects of major concern at an international level. Given the nature of its business, TOTAL is directly concerned by environmental issues. We respect the environment by undertaking to control greenhouse gas emissions, to reduce waste and polluting emissions, to carefully manage the water cycle, and to rehabilitate industrial sites while taking care to preserve biodiversity. We focus on treating used oil and improving in modernization programs for existing installations, such as replacing old fuel tanks in service stations; the division also renovate the sites (depots, service stations) following their closure, so that they do not pose a risk to the local population or the environment. Contributing to access to energy and development of renewable energy: Global energy needs to increase, where global reserves are limited and where greenhouse gas emissions have to be reduced, the oil industry must be involved in the development of renewable energy: solar photovoltaic energy, wind power, biofuels, and hydraulic energy. These different types of energy will gradually complement hydrocarbon resources if their cost can be reduced as a result of technological breakthroughs. TOTAL has undertaken to play a role in the diversification of energy sources, in the renewable energy field. It is developing wind power projects, and strengthening its position with regard to photovoltaic systems. Despite their high cost, photovoltaic panels can produce electricity in remote areas for basic requirements such as lighting or water pumping.
